Dani Jo Solberg passed away peacefully on May 2nd, 2012 surrounded by her family after a very brave and courageous two-year battle against cancer in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 27.

Dani was born on November 4th, 1984 in Bellevue, Washington and grew up in Mount Vernon, Washington.  She attended Mount Vernon High School and after graduating in 2003, she attended Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Washington just like her older brothers had.

Her biggest passion in life was her family.  She absolutely adored all children, especially her three nephews and she got the biggest kick out of spoiling them as much as possible.  In her spare time, Dani loved playing games with her friends and family.

She spent the majority of her short professional career working with senior citizens as an Insurance Agent and most recently was instrumental in developing the Client Services Center for her family’s business in San Antonio, Texas.

She left this world way too young, but she leaves behind many fond memories that will always be cherished and never forgotten.  She leaves behind her parents Daniel and Debra Solberg of Spring Branch, Texas; her brother Robert and his wife Maria along with their sons Giovanni and Bryce of Spring Branch, Texas; her brother Russell and his wife Melissa along with their son Owen of Vancouver, Washington; maternal grandmother Nancy Sturdevant of Napavine, Washington; paternal grandmother Pat Solberg of Gig Harbor, Washington; her Yorkshire Terrier Buffy; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Dale Sturdevant; her paternal grandfather Marvin Solberg, her paternal grandmother Norma Lee Holm, and her cousin Brandon Sturdevant.

Dani was blessed to have the love and support of not only her family but also numerous close friends who were a constant source of encouragement and motivation.  A special thank you to Taylor Sturdevant for the unconditional love and unwavering support you provided to Dani.

The family will be celebrating Dani’s life on Saturday May 12th, 2012. For specific information on the service, please call (210) 236-4863.
